The European project AGEment, co-financed by the EU Erasmus + Program, was born out of the desire to promote a healthy lifestyle and to raise awareness to both adults and seniors towards the importance of growing old in an active way, through consolidating the European cultural heritage. In order for the proposed objective to be upheld, a mobile and SmartTV application was developed, which will offer multimedia content related to the European cultural heritage and to promoting the welfare of senior people.
In order to achieve the project’s results, a four-country European consortium was created: Romania, through the GERON foundation, Spain through Cirugía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usón (CCMIJU), Portugal through Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG), and Italy through Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale (CSEN). The European project AGEment wants to connect the European cultural heritage with active aging in a natural way, searching for a method of social inclusion of senior folks.
With this occasion, the GERON foundation will organize, on the 30th of March 2021, at
16:00, an event in order to present the results of the AGEment project. During it, we would like to present to you the content of the catalogue involving the awareness of the practical cases selected and developed by each of the involved partners, with the purpose of promoting a healthy lifestyle and active aging. Furthermore, the AGEment application, which was developed during this project, will also be presented; in it, multimedia and motivational content can be found, content meant to raise awareness for both adults and seniors regarding the factors that should be adopted in order to maintain and improve a healthy lifestyle and the active involvement in the community.
