On March 30, 2021, at 16:00, the GERON Foundation successfully hosted the event to present the results of the AGEment Project, co-financed by the Erasmus + program of the European Union, were presented. This event was attended by 33 people who are part of Senior Clubs, Associations specializing in care, Family Physicians’ Offices, residents of the Nursing Home “Casa GERON”, as well as representatives of public institutions (World Bank, University Bucharest, UNESCO Department, Academy of Political Sciences and Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation in Romania)
During this event, Dr. Aureia Curaj, President of the GERON Foundation, began by transmitting to the public the results of the project, which consist of presenting case studies made by each partner involved in implementing the project, by broadcasting videos that exemplify traditions related to European Cultural Heritage Intangible. The mobile application developed as an essential tool in everyday life was also presented. It aims to raise awareness among the population, especially adults and the elderly, about the concept of active aging, linking it to cultural heritage.
