Online Event (29th of March)

The AGEment Project (European Cultural Heritage and Active Aging), co-financed by the European Union’s Erasmus + program, aims to raise awareness among the elderly about active aging through multimedia content related to the European Intangible Cultural Heritage. The AGEment project sought a natural connection between European cultural heritage and active aging, aiming at older people’s social inclusion.

On March 29, at 10 am, an online event will take place to present the results of the AGEment project, led by the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery Jesús Usón (CCMIJU) – Spain, in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG) – Portugal, GERON Foundation in Romania and Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale (CSEN) – Italy.

This event will be presented the testimonies of the cases collected in Portugal, which were fundamental for elaborating multimedia materials. It will also be presented a mobile application that provides the multimedia material created, thus promoting the use of new technologies among the group of older adults. This app adds testimonies about the European Intangible Cultural Heritage experiences of the four countries involved.

The program will consist of the following:

  • Project presentation;
  • Presentation of the awareness catalog with all practical cases selected and developed by all project partners (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania);
  • Presentation of videos made in Portugal;
  • Presentation of the free app for viewing videos
  • Debate on the role of older people as guardians of European cultural heritage
